Founded in the United States, the Toyger cat breed is a result of a cross between a striped Domestic Short Hair and Standard Bengal Tabby. This small tiger-resembling cat is an excellent companion. They are loving, playful, intelligent, and easily trained. They enjoy playing in water and are quite social cats. They enjoy being around people and they are ideal companions for most households. They are ideal for families with children and other pets, singles with pets, and active households. Grooming is minimal, however a weekly brushing would be beneficial.
