Tumors

Description: Condition involving a lesion or swelling caused by abnormal growth of cells. Many canine tumors are non-cancerous, but those that are cancerous can be successfully treated.
Symptoms: Symptoms include the appearance of an abnormal growth on part of the body.
Diagnosis: Your veterinarian may perform a fine needle aspiration biopsy in which they take a sample of the tumor cells to determine the type of tumor.
Treatment: Treated by surgical removal, chemotherapy, or radiation.
