A Devoted Companion

Gentle, Inquisitive, Loyal

This cat breed originated during the 1960s in White Plains, New York. These soft and sweet cats are very affectionate. They enjoy snuggling up with their owners and are very loyal and devoted. They can be quite independent, but prefer to be around their human companions in order to remain content. They may be reserved with strangers, however they get along well with other pets and children. They are ideal companions for those who want a lap cat, those who plan to travel with their cat, senior citizens, and those with multi-pet households. Coat brushing is required two to three times per week for upkeep.
